The first time you open it

Stamppa is new and its installer isn’t code-signed yet, so your computer warns you once. These are the real warnings and what to click.

On Windows

  1. Run Stamppa-27.0.0-setup.exe.

    It installs for your user only, no administrator rights needed.

  2. A blue window says “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info.

  3. Then click Run anyway.

  4. Pick the options you want, and Stamppa opens.

    Open PDFs with Stamppa, the right-click menu in File Explorer, starting with Windows: you can change them later in Help ▸ Windows integration. After this first time, Stamppa opens normally.

  • Per-user install, no administrator rights needed.
  • Silent install:
    Stamppa-27.0.0-setup.exe /VERYSILENT /TASKS="contextmenu,openwith"
  • Settings, templates and the license live in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Stamppa (Windows) and are kept on uninstall and upgrade.
  • Network: Stamppa makes one kind of request, a small daily check for a new version, which can be turned off. No telemetry.

What’s new in 27.0.0

Stamppa 27, the first public release: a fast PDF viewer for drawing sets, with tools for markup, measuring, comparing, editing, signing and stamping. From now on, versions are named by year.

  • A fast, stable PDF viewer for drawing sets: pages are drawn in separate processes, so a heavy sheet never locks the window, and one that fails to draw can’t close it.
  • Home shows your six most recent files, each with a thumbnail, and starts clean: nothing reopens by itself.
  • Sheet sets: many files read as one document, with a sheet index taken from the title blocks.
  • Tabs, tab groups and several windows at once; continuous scroll and two pages side by side; dark mode; English and Spanish.
